Boss Fighting Stages Rebirth Wikia

DeathWrath is a non-canon boss.

“
You must die!
”
— DeathWrath, furious at "You".

DeathWrath[]

DeathWrath is the second of the three rift bosses of the Draco Arcade, appearing as the leader of level 2. He is an arcade apparition of Azurewrath, featuring a more modern appearance with many retro features. He wears heavily metallic armour with neon purple features, dons purple flaming pauldrons, and wields a large gauntlet. He dons an 8-bit crown atop his helmet which emits flames, and possesses large pixel wings. In his right hand he holds a spiky staff with a purple jewel at its peak.

He places excessive importance on difficulty, showing anger when "You" doesn't meet his expectations and is helped by King. His personality is based on stereotypical "gamer rage".

Boss Information[]

Chases down the nearest player.

Name Description
Strikes DeathWrath's gauntlet band and blue crystal light up as he dashes forward and punches ahead, dealing 64 damage in an area, before dashing forward once more for a second punch, killing any players who don't dodge it.
Mana Upheaval DeathWrath's gauntlet band and red crystal light up as he heaves his gauntlet up from the ground, creating a row of red explosions, leaving behind red pillars that kill anyone who touches them.
Disk ROM DeathWrath spins his staff behind himself for a moment before firing out a vertical disc that bounces off of a wall once, changing to a horizontal disc and changing colour. The disc emits a constant sound which changes pitch when bouncing. In NewGame+, the disc will bounce 2 more times before disappearing.
Block Blast DeathWrath pauses in place and raises his gauntlet to face his target, 2 of the diamonds lighting up. A second later, he raises the gauntlet, releasing forcefield blocks in directions dependent on which diamonds were lit. Blue sends a block to the player's left (DeathWrath's right), Red sends one directly forwards, and Green sends a block to the player's right (DeathWrath's left).
Arcane Bolts DeathWrath's gauntlet band and green crystal light up as he swings his staff around, firing ahead 3 green orbs one by one that deal low damage.
Jumps & Blasts DeathWrath punches the ground, causing 3 pillars of ascending height to shoot out of the ground, which both he and players may stand on. He jumps up the pillars slowly, and once he reaches the top, his defense lowers into the negatives, and a projectile shield materialises around him as he raises his staff and summons forth a sheet of orbs above the arena. After a moment, all the orbs descend, with orbs near a player attempting to converge onto said player, every orb moving in a direction for a few moments before vanishing.
Deathonation DeathWrath stops walking and begins to channel great energy, massively increasing his defense in the process. Once done, he fires an orb towards the furthest player, which shortly afterwards detonates, immediately killing anyone in a large area and releasing a map-wide shockwave that immediately kills all players who do not jump over it. If the orb makes contact with a player prematurely, it will explode instantly.

At 1,640,000 health, DeathWrath goes into Phase 2, upgrading most of his previous moves, alongside new ones:

Name Description
Cross Slash DeathWrath halts and spins his staff behind him, before creating a V shape out of flames, one half at a time, and firing it towards his target, killing anyone struck. Due to its shape, players can either sidestep the projectile, or jump over the middle.
Red Impact DeathWrath leaps towards his target and implants his staff into the ground; shortly after, he creates a lethal red explosion as he launches backwards. In NewGame+, the red explosion will also create a shockwave that spans the whole map.
Volt Torrent DeathWrath freezes in place before rapidly spinning, releasing a torrent of pink energy orbs outwards in an erratic pattern, dealing 81 damage each. Throughout the move, grounded rings will move inwards, dealing 50 damage to players who do not jump over them. In NewGame+, the grounded rings are doubled, and they move inward slightly faster.
Death Rain DeathWrath pauses as he's surrounded by spiraling blocks, before leaping into the sky and sending a large slashwave towards his target, exploding on impact with the ground and continuing to glide across the ground behind the target, leaving behind patches of fire. He then sends another one before descending upon his target and crashing into the ground, creating an expanding grounded shockwave that immediately kills anyone hit. This final crash and his slashwave impacts releases sparks of flame into the air, which then arc and descend, lightly homing onto players, creating pools of fire that last a decent while on impact with the ground. Will always use Jumps & Blasts afterwards.
Fists of Fury Deathwrath stops in place before beginning to strike the player with his fists 3 times in a row, if each strike lands a hit, the next one becomes stronger.

Move upgrades[]

  • Disc ROM deals more damage and now bounces 3 (6) times, alternating between vertical and horizontal orientation.
  • Arcane Bolts deal double the damage.
  • DeathWrath executes Jumps & Blasts quicker than before.
  • Deathonation sends out two orbs to the sides of the target rather than one directly at the target.

Trivia[]

  • Death Rain is heavily inspired by Maliketh's Black Blade attack, whom is a boss in Elden Ring.
  • The objective text "DeathWrath Must Die!" is a reference to a difficulty in Devil May Cry games where the playable character's name is placed next to "Must Die".
